Trusting God's Detours

​​At the beginning of 2019, I was living in Los Angeles. I was sitting at the table getting ready to negotiate one of the biggest deals of my TV career at the time. ⁣
⁣
I thought to myself, this is the deal I’ve been waiting on. I’ve waited all my life for this. ⁣
⁣
But then the Lord spoke to me through a vision. He showed me that the opportunity wasn’t my door. That He had a greater door prepared for me. ⁣

At the time, my heart was completely crushed. I didn’t understand and was frustrated. However I decided to obey God. I could’ve forced it, but I simply just decided to let go and surrender. ⁣

Fast forward to now, I have published my first book Emerge: Breakthrough into Your Destiny. From college students to incarcerated people behind bars, the impact is extending far beyond what I could imagine. Moreover I am in ministry school, and am now up late nights studying. This is a new chapter for me, and everyday I am finding NEW joy in it. 🙏🏾⁣

I say all this to say, never be afraid to let go of a good thing, to obtain God’s best. You may not understand everything, but don’t be afraid to let go, walk away, start again, and trust God with your next chapter. God loves us, and knows what’s BEST.
